Custom dimensions

By default, Profit Projecten has a number of dimensions to which you can post entries and on which you can request information.

Description

A number of dimensions are provided by default, including:

  • Project
  • Project group
  • Employee
  • Item
  • Integration group/Article group
  • Dimension 1
  • Dimension 2
  • Dimension 3
  • Dimension 4
  • Dimension 5

You can use the Custom dimensions function to create extra entries in the project administration. Examples of extra dimensions include: subproject, main project, suborder, location, etc. Adding extra dimensions and completing them automatically or manually when entering the actual costing, can give you a better insight into the costs at the project administration levels of your choice.

Besides, contrary to custom fields, you can apply custom dimensions as calculation bases for validity combinations, the rates and for journalising to related ledger accounts and allocation codes in Profit Financieel.
